This course aims to provide basic (and advanced) understanding of the Risk Management Framework and the Basel Regulations. Knowledge of effective risk management (and the Basel framework) is of utmost importance for a financial institution to survive and grow in today’s uncertain environment. The course will examine the risk management tools and techniques and the Basel Regulations from a financial institution perspective. The course will specifically examine the market, credit and liquidity risk, measurement and modeling and the Basel provisions for these types of risk. The participants will also study the fundamentals of Basel II and III regulations and will take an integrated view of the various risks under the Basel umbrella.
