KSBL would like to congratulate Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, an esteemed Board Member, for winning Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Award for International Scientific Cooperation for the year 2013.
Dr. Rahman is the first Pakistani to receive this prestigious award. He is the President of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) and is a leading scientist in the field of organic chemistry. He won this award for his contributions in boosting scientific cooperation between PAS and CAS.
According to a statement given by CAS, Dr. Rahman has promoted “Pakistan-China Doctorate Programme” and has sent over 390 students to Chinese universities and academic institutions to pursue PhDs.
Established in 2007, the CAS award is aimed at honoring foreign scientists for their contributions in Chinese-foreign research cooperation.
