24th November, 2018: The 4th convocation ceremony of the Karachi School of Business & Leadership was held on Saturday, 24th November, 2018, where the institute conferred degrees to its graduating classes. The degrees were awarded to 38 students in their respective disciplines of MBA and EMBA programs. At this auspicious occasion Mr. Imran Ismail (Governor, Sindh) was the Chief Guest and Mr. Hussain Dawood (Founder & Chairman, KSBL) was the Keynote Speaker.
The ceremony marked an ardent reunion of the Graduating Students, Parents, Management and the Faculty alongside Board of Governors & Directors, all gathered to celebrate the milestones of graduating classes.
The convocation ceremony started off with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national Anthem, sung by attendees.
In his opening speech, Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed (Dean, KSBL) stated, “This Commencement is the culmination of an invigorating journey. This is held to recognize the hard work of our students who with their efforts have not just earned their degrees but also earned several accolades for KSBL.”
He also applauded faculty members for their relentless efforts in encouraging the students and pushing them to reach their truest potential throughout. He further highlighted Mr. Muneer Kamal’s (CEO, KEI), contribution with his heart and soul for the institution. In the end he thanked Mr. Hussain Dawood (Founder & Chairman, KSBL) for his constant moral and resource support.
The Founder & Chairman of KSBL Mr. Hussain Dawood while speaking on the occasion said to the students, “It is a privilege for me to be on stage here. I have been serving this country as a business leader for 50 years. For KSBL our vision was always to produce leaders with character. This is the reason why we have always emphasized on character-building and enhancing decision making skills of our students. Now that you are graduating make sure to live a life based on righteousness and truthfulness. At the end of the day as the trust-worthy leaders in your own capacities, you will realize how luck you are for adopting this path.”
The Sindh Governor Mr. Imran Ismail congratulated the graduating classes for passing out from one of the region’s finest academic institutions. He praised Parents of students on making the biggest contribution to KSBL and raising such outstanding progeny.
While addressing the audience Mr. Imran Ismail said, “As graduates you are now poised to lead this country to join the ranks of developed nations. We can turnaround anything with resilience and hard work. Our country has a great potential. All we require are the eminent leaders to channelize things and take the economic horizon of this country a notch above.”
Later on the students one by one came of stage to receive their degrees and medals. The Hussain Dawood Gold Medal for MBA went to Preya Dil, Batool Somjee, Muhammad Asif Khatri. Abdul Razzak Tabba Silver Medal for MBA was given to Salman Ahmed, Basit Naeem and Faisal Abbasi. Lastly Muhammad Daniyal Khan, Abeera Siddiqui were the receivers of the KSBL Bronze Medal.
The parents of students were also proud to witness their progeny as high achievers, all set to embark on their new journey of making their contributions, as future leaders for the better economic development of the country.
The commencement was concluded with a word of thanks from Mr. Hussain Dawood (Founder & Chairman, KSBL) and later the celebratory throwing of caps.
