The Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) celebrated its Second Commencement Ceremony of MBA Class of 2015 on October 09, 2015 at its campus. The newly established business school, which has been chartered by the Government of Sindh, and recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), awarded the students with a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). The ceremony commenced with the entrance of the academic procession at the convocation venue.
The management honoured the outstanding students with awards and medals over their exceptional academic performances. Rakiz Farooq secured the first position and received Hussain Dawood Gold Medal, Salik Nazimuddin Chaturbhai and Kashif Azam Bachani, secured the second position and received Abdul Razzak Tabba Silver Medal while, Shahan Afzal stood third and received KSBL Bronze Medal.
“The KSBL MBA students have made an impact beyond their numbers, in fact beyond everyone’s expectations. Speaking just in terms of their competitiveness, the last two MBA batches have excelled in a number of challenges and competitions held locally and internationally. Today, the KSBL students are employed at the best institutions in the country. The School has prepared its students with the ground knowledge, the ability to identify the voids in Pakistan’s Business Environment, and effectively respond to those voids”, said Dr. Imran Ali, Rector, KSBL. He concluded by advising the graduates to “remember that the learning never stops”
During his key note address, Mr. Hussain Dawood, Chairman of the Board of Governors of KSBL & Board of Directors Karachi Education Initiative (KEI) said, “The University of life is the most challenging university of all. Today, the KSBL students have the capacity, the self-confidence, and the capability to be able to earn their way in the great university of life”
The parents were overjoyed to see their progenies hard work coming to fruition. “I still can’t believe that it has been two years, and here I am today, seeing my son receive his Master’s degree. I thank KSBL and its need-based financial assistance policy that helped him complete his degree with such ease. The family has very high hopes for his future,” said Mr. Muhammad Arsalan, parent of a graduating student.
The convocation celebrations ended with a momentous group photograph of the graduating class and hi-tea to enjoy the academic success of the graduating class in a comfortable and festive gathering.
