KSBL Seminar Series on Leadership, Structure and Governance of Successful Project Based Firms was conducted on 26th September, 2013 at the KSBL Campus, by Dr Nelson Phillips, Dr Rizwan Amin Sheikh and Dr Faheem Ul Islam.
Professor Nelson Philips and his colleagues conducted a decade long research on leadership, structures and governance of project-based firms whose activities spanned a wide range of markets and geographic location. In this seminar, Professor Nelson shared the insights from his landmark research on leadership, structure and governance of successful project-based firms.
Project-based firms are common sight in many business and development sectors, such as engineering, construction, architecture, software, media, advertising, filmmaking, infrastructure, development. Their activities are organized to deliver projects aimed at meeting complex, differentiated and customized needs of clients. To succeed these project-based firms need to maintain internal alignment on one side and demonstrate flexibility to respond to varied opportunities, manage workloads and allocate resources to different projects on the other side.
This seminar provided a unique opportunity for CEO’s and senior managers of project-based firms, consultants and bankers to learn and share best practices in leadership, structuring and managing.
