Thursday, December 14 2017: Mr. Abrar Ahmad Khan (Marketing Director, National Foods) was invited to evaluate students’ final presentations for a course on Brand Management taught by visiting faculty Mr. Saadi Rauf. This was a second-year course for the MBA Class of 2018 at KSBL.
In a short session on brand strategy, he spoke of decisive trends that currently dominate the marketing landscape and what is needed to set-apart a brand from a product. He gave examples of various brands which follow customer behavior closely for ‘insights’, in order to stand out and to create long-term brand value.
Mr. Ahmad offered critical evaluation of each presentation, with counter-questioning of ideas put forward, to create perspective that would match student assumptions with real brand-considerations.
This is part of the school’s DEC segment (Developing Executive Capabilities in students) coordinated by the Career Services Office.
