A packed hall and lecture theatre at the Karachi School for Business & Leadership listened with rapt attention as Farid Hassan outlined his formula for success in turning around companies. Only a few global managers can match Farid Hassan’s unique record of turnarounds and transformations. His most recent success, as Chairman of the previously challenged Bausch + Lomb, brings his success record to seven serial reinventions. These are skillfully captured in his recent book, “Reinvent: The Reader’s Playbook for Serial Success,” which has received positive reviews ranging from national television to corporate audiences in North America and Europe.
The first part of the book focuses on how you, as a leader, can unleash your potential by learning to be authentic, purposeful, and connected with your organisation. The second part of the book focuses on groups, how to lead them, and how to keep winning and innovating. Taken together, these principles fuel smarter strategies, more effective execution and better governance.
A Q & A session followed the presentation and discussed the main takeaways of the book consisting;

Dr.Shaukat A. Brah, Dean, Karachi School for Business & Leadership hosted the event while Mr. Muhammad Aliuddin Ansari, President and CEO, Engro Corporation, was the chief guest. The audience included top businessmen, professionals, academia, students and elite of the city.
Mr. Ansari in his brief remarks said the principles defined by Farid Hassan could be applied in any scenario to make a difference. He said the world is changing fast and the business dynamics are also modifying and therefore the business leaders should adapt to unorthodox techniques.
