Inaugural KSBL MUN 2026 Concludes: Nurturing the Next Generation of Character-Driven Leaders
KARACHI: The Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) Public Speaking Society proudly concluded the highly anticipated inaugural edition of the KSBL Model United Nations (KSBL MUN 2026). Held from 17–19 July 2026 at the KSBL Campus in Karachi, the student-led three-day conference successfully brought together passionate young leaders from over 20 premier educational institutions across Pakistan.
Guided by the overarching theme, “Diplomacy in Action, Leadership in Impact,” the conference was established to serve as a cornerstone for promoting character-driven leadership, critical thinking, and collaborative global problem-solving.
A Fast-Paced, 3-Day Journey
The intensive schedule challenged delegates through high-stakes simulations designed to replicate the inner workings of international policymaking:
- Opening Day (Friday, 17th July): Began with official registrations, followed by an inspiring Opening Ceremony and keynote addresses that set the stage for the first round of committee sessions.
- Deliberation Day (Saturday, 18th July): Pushed delegates to their limits with deep committee debates, complex multilateral negotiations, and intensive resolution drafting.
- Closing Day (Sunday, 19th July): Concluded with final strategic voting sessions, a celebration of academic merit at the Awards Ceremony, and a formal closing dinner and networking reception.
Throughout these rigorous sessions, participants actively developed the critical public speaking, negotiation, and diplomatic skills required to navigate contemporary global challenges.
Rooted in Core Institutional Values
The spirit of the conference directly mirrored the founding leadership philosophy of KSBL. As the institution’s Founder and Chairman, Mr. Hussain Dawood, famously outlines:
“True leadership is not defined by position or competence alone, but by truthfulness, trustworthiness, humility, integrity, and striving for excellence.”
Reflecting on the vision behind the landmark event, the President of KSBL MUN extended sincere gratitude to Professor Dr. Asghar Zaidi, Rector of KSBL, for his unwavering trust and support in empowering the student body to bring this vision to life. The organizing committee also extended deep appreciation to the Secretariat, Executive Board, faculty, volunteers, and partners whose professionalism made the inaugural chapter an unforgettable success.
Celebrating Excellence
The conference concluded by honoring outstanding diplomatic talent displayed on the committee floors. A special congratulations goes out to Dawood Public School, which walked away with the coveted Best Delegation Award for their exceptional teamwork, composure, and dedication to the spirit of compromise and consensus.
As the inaugural chapter draws to a close, KSBL looks forward to cementing KSBL MUN as a lasting legacy of academic excellence, ethical diplomacy, and impactful youth leadership for generations to come.
