KSBL Knowledge Forum Host Third Session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Frameworks

Karachi, July 21, 2026 — Advancing its commitment to academic excellence, the Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) hosted the third session of its weekly Knowledge Forum today. The seminar, titled “Outcome-Based Education in Higher Education: A Framework for Learning Outcomes, Assessment, and Continuous Quality Improvement,” was delivered by Dr. Sheraz Mustafa, Acting Registrar and Program Head, BS Management & Entrepreneurship (BS-M&E). The session provided faculty and staff with a comprehensive look at the student-centered OBE paradigm, highlighting its role in fostering critical thinking, employability, and lifelong learning. Dr. Mustafa detailed the structural hierarchy of learning outcomes (PEOs, PLOs, and CLOs) and demonstrated how integrating the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle ensures continuous quality improvement and alignment with international accreditation standards.

Emphasizing the importance of these frameworks, Rector KSBL Dr. Asghar Zaidi remarked:

“Sustaining a culture of academic excellence requires a deliberate, measurable approach to how we teach and evaluate. Embracing robust quality frameworks ensures our educational standards remain at par with international benchmarks, directly elevating institutional effectiveness and student learning.”

The academic framework directly supports the institution’s core mission of developing well-rounded graduates. Commenting on the ultimate outcome of Character-Driven Leadership, Founder and Chairman Mr. Hussain Dawood stated:

“At KSBL, we recognize that technical mastery is only one side of the equation. The future belongs to leaders who bridge the gap between competence and character. We instill in our students that leadership is defined by more than just performance, it is anchored in truthfulness, trustworthiness, and an unwavering commitment to integrity. By embracing humility and perseverance through adversity, our graduates discover that true success is anchored in the fusion of character, manners, and ethical fortitude.”
