Karachi, September 10, 2026 — Marking a major milestone in its mission to integrate ethics into business education, the Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ubudiyyah Business Model (UBM), followed by an exclusive Character Development Workshop with founder Shaykh Hashim Ahmad at ELA Training Hall 1.

This strategic partnership makes KSBL a pioneering institution in formalizing the Ubudiyyah Business Model within higher education, cementing its commitment to graduating leaders who combine high-level competence with unyielding moral character.

A Historic Strategic Partnership

The session opened with the official MoU signing ceremony, executed by KSBL Rector Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, Shaykh Faysal and Shaykh Hashim Ahmad. The collaboration establishes a shared framework to embed values-based decision-making, ethical management, and spiritual consciousness directly into institutional leadership initiatives and student development programs.

Reflecting on Purpose and Alignment

Following the signing, Shaykh Hashim led an engaging workshop centered on human purpose and aligning everyday actions with divine guidance. Drawing from Quranic parables and traditional scholarship, he explained that sustainable professional success stems from an internal commitment to total devotion to the Creator (Ubudiyyah).

The Ubudiyyah Framework for Leadership

Trained in Makkah at Jami’ah Ummul Qura, Shaykh Hashim outlined how UBM bridges spiritual principles and modern corporate environments. He stressed that business leadership must not operate separate from moral responsibility, encouraging participants to balance technical skill with continuous self-purification (Tazkiyah), beneficial knowledge (Taleem), and societal service.
