About the Competition

KSBL has launched the Scam Awareness Media Competition, powered by JazzCash and Mobilink Bank, with support from its patrons: SBP, PTA, SECP, Karandaaz, and GSMA. The competition invites journalists and content creators to produce impactful stories that highlight emerging digital scam trends, guide users on prevention, and underscore the role of regulators and industry in strengthening trust in Pakistan’s digital financial ecosystem.

Open to: Journalists & bloggers from print, digital, TV, radio, freelance, or FinTech content creators. Individual or team submissions allowed.

Schemes such as Ponzi and pyramid setups that promise unusually high returns, often including fake crypto websites

Impersonation Scams

Impersonation Scams:

Scams where people pose as family or friends in trouble, make fake calls, or hack WhatsApp accounts.

SMS & Parcel Delivery Scams

SMS & Parcel Delivery Scams:

Fake parcel notifications or text messages designed to trick people into clicking links or sharing personal information.

Submission Guidelines

Written Articles & Investigative Reports

In-depth print or digital pieces that highlight fraud schemes, policy responses, or user experiences. These should be well-structured, fact-checked, and supported with credible sources. Accepted file format: PDF

Broadcast Stories & Video Documentaries

Short news segments or longer documentaries that visually uncover fraud cases, highlight real-life victims, or showcase institutional efforts. Strong editing, clear visuals, and impactful storytelling are encouraged. Accepted file formats: MP4, AVI, MOV (max 10 minutes suggested)

Podcasts & Audio Features

Audio narratives, interviews, or investigative pieces that explain fraud risks, share expert insights, or tell powerful human-interest stories. Submissions should have clear audio quality and engaging narration. Accepted file formats: MP3, WAV (max 10 minutes suggested)

Multimedia or Interactive Stories

Digital-first formats that combine text, visuals, data, or interactive elements (e.g., timelines, infographics, web features) to make fraud awareness more engaging and accessible for audiences. Accepted file format: PDF (with embedded visuals) or link to hosted content (Google Drive/Dropbox/website)

Important Note:

All submissions must be uploaded as Google Drive or Dropbox links (with open access permissions) through the official submission form. Entries with restricted links will be automatically disqualified.
