KSBL, in collaboration with JS Bank, has launched a policy brief “Catalysing SME Financing in Pakistan” aimed at addressing the financing challenges faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan. This partnership seeks to bridge the gap between the financial needs of SMEs and available resources, ultimately fostering economic growth. By identifying key barriers such as limited access to credit, traditional collateral requirements, and lack of technical expertise, the brief offers tailored solutions to help SMEs scale up and innovate.
Through this initiative, KSBL and JS Bank are working to create a more supportive financing ecosystem for SMEs by promoting financial literacy and leveraging alternative credit scoring models. These efforts aim to help SMEs access the capital needed for expansion, productivity improvement, and market innovation.
The collaboration also includes a roundtable discussion with key stakeholders, including policymakers and financial experts, to share insights and develop actionable solutions. By bringing together industry leaders, the initiative fosters meaningful conversations and collaborations that will help SMEs thrive, ultimately contributing to a more resilient and forward-looking economy for Pakistan.
