Design Thinking Design Meets Strategy

Design thinking is a Buzzword in today’s business world; however, some assume it is a part of God gifted essence where a few can possess. Over the period of time there have been businesses who can embed such processes to consistently practice creativity and make it a part of their culture through process of developing Strategic Innovation that drives growth. To achieve this competitive advantage while focusing on human centric approach to giving solutions that can create value for business this course links the two together, Design Thinking and Strategic Innovation. The focus of this course is to emphasize how Design Thinking can fuel innovation in process improvement, problem solution, idea generation, product development or may be driving organizations.

Methodology

The course will combine the factors like hands on practice, i.e. experiential learning for each step for the participants to have understood the process and being able to practically come up with ideas that will help Karachi Electric in their own contextual environment. The course will have videos, case studies, practical exercises which will guide the process from Problem Identification, Empathy Mapping, Idea Generation, Prototyping and Testing.
