The Women Economic and Financial Leadership Development (WELD) workshop — a joint initiative of UNDP Pakistan and the Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) — is currently in progress!
Designed to equip women professionals with advanced strategic, financial, and economic competencies, WELD is rooted in KSBL’s Character and Good Manners (CGM) values: truthfulness, trustworthiness, humility, integrity, and striving in times of hardship.
Over three days, 55 participants from Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Multan, Peshawar, and Islamabad—representing industries such as finance, development, energy, technology, and non-profit, as well as leading organizations in banking, manufacturing, and development—are engaging in experiential learning through real-world simulations, high-stakes decision-making exercises, and peer exchange, gaining tools to navigate complex economic and policy environments with both professional acumen and principled, values-based leadership.
Finance & Economics: Apply integrity and truthfulness to shape ethical financial decisions by understanding economic policy and analyzing data for informed, equitable public budgeting guided by CGM values.
Character-Driven Leadership: Cultivate resilience and navigate leadership challenges with humility and trustworthiness, defining your personal leadership journey through CGM values.
Communication & Negotiation: Lead high-stakes conversations with trustworthiness and integrity by negotiating through values-based influence and building authentic presence.
