Falak Zehra Mohsin is a Senior Lecturer and the Director of Wellness at KSBL, bringing over a decade of expertise in mental health and psychology to her dual roles. A PhD candidate specializing in Social Psychology from the University of Exeter, her research focuses on the psychological mechanisms of stigma, prejudice, and discrimination, with a particular emphasis on various ‘isms’ within society. Her commitment to high-impact research was recently recognized by the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI), which awarded her the Fall RGS Grant.
Falak was also the founder of Holistic Minds and has been a dedicated advocate for mental health awareness throughout her career, working extensively with various NGOs and youth organizations to reduce stigma and encourage dialogue. Her insights are shared through public speaking engagements, her recently launched podcast, and her previous articles published in Dawn, Global Village Space and Tribune. With an extensive academic and professional portfolio, she has facilitated undergraduate and graduate courses at prestigious institutions such as IBA, IoBM, and Bahria University since 2014. At KSBL, she leads specialized modules on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Psychological Safety, and Organizational Behavior, amongst others. As Director of Wellness, she oversees institutional mental health strategies, focusing on emotional regulation and professional development to foster a healthy academic and corporate culture.
