Mufti Muhammad Sarfaraz Nihal is the visiting faculty of Islamic Finance & Economics at KSBL. Mufti Muhammad Sarfraz Nihal has almost nine years’ experience in the area of Shariah Audit, Shariah Compliance and Product Development & Shariah structuring with prestigious institutions such as Al Baraka Bank Pakistan Ltd. (Formerly Emirates Global Islamic Bank Bank), Faysal islamic Bank, Bank Al Habib Ltd.(IBD) & Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Ltd. Currently he is associated with Standard Chartered Bank as Resident Shariah Board Member, overseeing the overall business of Sadiq (Islamic Brand) in Pakistan.

In his academia experience, Mufti Sarfaraz Nehal has taught “Fundamentals of Islamic Banking Operations FIBO & IBCC Program” at National Institute of Banking & Finance, State Bank of Pakistan as External Trainer. He also conducted “Shariah Standards to ACSS Course (Certified Shariah Advisor & Auditor Certification) ” at Institute of Business Administration, Centre for excellence in Islamic Finance (IBA CEIF). He also has provided his services in Karachi University as external trainer / instructor for the Shariah Commercial Jurisprudence & Law of Contracts to MS (Islamic Banking & Finance) and Risk Management in IFIs Products to MS (Islamic Banking & Finance) courses.

He possesses both contemporary, Conventional as well as religious academic qualifications.He has obtained the specialization (in Islamic Jurisprudence & Fatwa) & Shadatatul Aalamia (Darse Nizami) from Wifaqul Madardis Pakistan respectively. Moreover, he holds MPhil (Economics) & M.Sc. from University of Karachi. He also holds a Master degree in Arabic & Islamic Studies from University of Karachi along with the PGD in Islamic banking & Finance from CIE.
